National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH)
Established in 1995 to assist State Offices of Rural Health (SORH) in their efforts to improve access to and the quality of health care for nearly 61 million rural Americans. NOSORH enhances the capacity of SORH to do this by supporting the development of state and community rural health leaders, creating and facilitating state, regional, and national partnerships that foster information sharing and spur rural health related programs/activities, and enhancing access to quality healthcare services in rural communities.
State Offices of Rural Health (SORH)
Funds State Offices of Rural Health to solve rural health problems. All 50 states have a SORH. These offices differ in size, scope, and structure. The services and resources they provide vary.
Rural Health Information Hub (RHI)
The Rural Health Information Hub is supported by the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
National Association of Rural Health Clinics
National Association of Rural Health Clinics promotes rural health clinics as a means of improving and sustaining the availability of quality, cost-effective health care to patients in rural, medically underserved areas. NARHC works with Congress, federal agencies, and rural health allies to expand and protect the interests of rural health clinics. NARHC members can become actively engaged in the legislative and regulatory process through the Association.
