The conference brings together leaders in rural medicine and provides physicians, students, and other healthcare professionals opportunities to learn, network, and inspire each other to better serve rural and medically underserved populations in the United States and abroad.  Each session offers practical, evidence-based solutions to challenges associated with rural populations and rural medicine and provides practitioners an opportunity to enhance patient access and care.

Attendees have the option to participate in-person and virtually.

Participants can earn up to 25 CME credits!

 

Conference Objectives

  • Present best practices for rural and medically underserved patient care, emphasizing the Appalachian and Mississippi Delta regions of the U.S.
  • Feature current research related to rural health issues and rural medicine.
  • Identify regulatory aspects and medical challenges associated with sponsoring and managing medical clinics in third world countries and address immigrant/migrant care in rural settings.
  • Identify the challenges of physicians practicing in rural areas and provide creative solutions to improving physician satisfaction.
  • Explore innovative technologies and services to improve patient access and patient care in rural settings.
