2021 Virginia Behavioral Health Summit

The Summit, whose theme is “Coming out of Isolation: Our NEXT Normal,” will bring together will bring together behavioral health providers, subject matter experts, educators, and other stakeholders. The program will feature a keynote address on “Confronting Stigma with Comic Relief” featuring David Granirer of Stand Up For Mental Health, a program that teaches stand-up comedy to people with mental health issues. The theme for the closing keynote address is “Improved Community Behavioral Health Begins with You.” It will be presented by Zuri Walker, principal of Zuri Walker Coaching. Other Summit sessions will cover topics including the impact of COVID-19 on behavioral health, improving behavioral health outcomes for school-aged children, strengthening the behavioral health workforce, non-traditional health care models, current trends in substance use disorder, and the future of telehealth and behavioral health.
