Mary Jo completed her doctoral degree at East Tennessee State University in Experimental Psychology, concentrating on community-based research. She holds a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology and has worked in multiple roles facilitating positive mental health and reduced substance use in community settings. Mary Jo grew up in Southwest Virginia and enjoys being outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and fishing with her husband.
